Houston recreation
houston recreation is probably the most varied in the state. Not only are the landscape and climate perfect for all kinds of outdoor recreation, the cityÇs attitude is one healthy respect for both self and environment. A great place to start is any of the cityÇs numerous green spaces and lakes. The Highland Lakes provide ample opportunity for fishing, sailing, swimming, and boating. Some of our favorite parks include the Zilker, Covert, and Slaughter Creek Parks. Biking is huge in this city, and we recommend the Veloway bike and skate trails at Slaughter Creek Park. We also had a great time at the cityÇs great public golf courses. Try the Hancock or the Lions courses. And the public tennis courts are all easily accessible and great fun, especially the Pharr Tennis Center. And, where else in Texas can you enjoy spelunking? But weÇve only scratched the surface. Below, check out our list of some of our favorite houston recreation.
